Kids Holiday Cooking Classes
(June 2025 Boot Camps)
Would you like your kids to learn some practical life skills and discover their hidden culinary talents during the upcoming school holidays in June? This 2-day Culinary Skills Boot Camp by Food Playground is the perfect launchpad to help learners achieve the following:
Learning Outcomes
1. Learn to prepare and cook authentic recipes from scratch
2. Learn a variety of cooking and baking techniques
3. Learn how to incorporate healthier ingredients in recipes
4. Learn important life skills like empathy and kindness
This course will be conducted at our own fully equipped cooking studio in Chinatown. Each class will have an intimate learning environment with a ratio of 1 instructor to 4 learners for Junior Camp, and a ratio of 1 instructor to 6 learners for Teens Camp. Upon successful completion, each student will receive a certificate of achievement as well as lots of wonderful memories to bring home!
(Ideal for 10-12 years old)
Here's a brief program sequence of the Junior Culinary Boot Camp:
Day 1 (Half-Day)
9:30am: Welcome and introduction
9:45am: Learn two recipes
3&4 June / 17&18June: Shepherd's Pie & Banana Choc Muffins
10&11June / 24&25June: Egg Fried Rice & Char Siew Chicken
12:10pm: Lunch (Enjoy the fruits of your labour!)
12:30pm: Session ends
Day 2 (Half-Day)
9:30am: Briefing and first day recap
9:45am: Learn two recipes
3&4 June / 17&18June: Burnt Cheesecake & Rustic Pizza
10&11June / 24&25June: Mee Goreng & Chocolate Chip Cookies
12:00pm: Lunch (Enjoy the fruits of your labour!)
12:15pm: Debrief & Closing, Certificate presentation
12:30pm: Boot Camp ends

Ideal For: Students between 10 years old and 12 years old looking for hands-on enrichment activities during the June school holidays
Total Duration: 6 hours (Day 1->3 hours & Day 2->3 hours)
Rate: 300 SGD/pax NETT (20% discount for booking of 4 or more)
We only use Halal-certified ingredients and all our utensils have never handled pork since inception, so Muslim participants are most welcome to join. If your children have any other dietary restrictions or food allergies, please let us know at the time of booking so we can make the necessary adjustments.
We will be running a total of 4 sessions over the month of June, so this will give you more flexibility in planning your schedule for your kids. Each session only has a maximum of 8 slots, so please sign up early to avoid disappointment!
Teens Culinary Boot Camp
(Ideal for 13-18 years old)

5&6 June / 19&20June: Burnt Cheesecake, Fresh Pasta Aglio Olio & Italian Meatballs
12&13June / 26&27June: Egg Fried Rice, Char Siew Chicken & Egg Tarts
12:30pm: Lunch (Enjoy the fruits of your labour!)
1:00pm: Session ends
Day 2 (Half-Day)
9:00am: Briefing and first day recap
9:15am Learn three recipes
5&6 June / 19&20June: Shepherd's Pie, Mushroom Soup & Banana Chocolate Muffins
12&13June / 26&27June: Mee Goreng, Ham & Cheese Quiche and Florentine Cookies
12:15pm: Lunch (Enjoy the fruits of your labour!)
12:45pm: Debrief & Closing, Certificate presentation
1:00pm: Boot Camp ends
